Brian Stout ’07 came to Syracuse’s Newhouse School to major in broadcast journalism, with the dream of someday being a news anchor. But halfway through his college years, he switched majors to pursue a career in advertising. Today Stout is vice president and global planning director for the Chicago ad agency Energy BBDO, where he works on the Bayer Consumer Care account.
Growing up on Chicago’s North Shore, Kevin Ware ’11 never regretted his decision to attend Syracuse University, despite feeling some pressure to stay closer to home. “Like most SU alumni, I’d make the same decision a million times over,” he says.
