Alumni Club Launches Scholarship Fund
Chicago Orange, let’s help future generations of students call Syracuse “home.”
The Syracuse University Alumni Club of Chicago is partnering with the Syracuse University Office of Admissions to fund a need-based scholarship that will help an accepted student from the Chicagoland area visit campus for the first time. Our goal is to raise $1,500 by March 1, 2016, in time for the student and his or her parent/guardian to attend the “Own the Dome” spring reception.
“Every SU grad has a memory of seeing campus for the first time, and that first impression often jump-started their love for the University,” says Amy Peters, club vice president. “Accepted students who can’t afford a visit to Syracuse before making their final college choice miss that opportunity to feel the pulse of the campus. Our scholarship's goal is to help build a future generation of SU grads from the Chicago area.”
